Bondi Bliss Balls – Date, cacao and coconut or Apricot orange

Date Protein Balls


  1. About 20 medjool dates
  2. 1/2 cup mixed nuts/ seeds chopped (I used almonds and pumpkin seeds combined)
  3. 1 Tablespoon coconut oil
  4. 1 Tablespoon tahini paste
  5. 1/2 cup almond meal
  6. 3/4 – 1 cup of desicatted coconut
  7. 1 Tablespoon peanut butter (unsalted/ no sugar added)
  8. 2 Tablespoons cacao powder
  9. 2 Tablespoons runny honey
  10. Dash of almond milk (vary quantity depending on consistency)
  11. Extra coconut for rolling


Combine all of the above ingredients, pulse with a food processor. If mixture is too dry add a little almond milk. If too wet, add extra almond meal or coconut. Roll into balls and dust or roll in coconut. Store in airtight containers. Suitable to freeze and enjoy as a post workout protein snack!

Apricot orange bliss balls



  1. 1 full cup dried apricots chopped
  2. 1 orange
  3. 1 cup threaded coconut
  4. 1 cup almond meal
  5. 1/3 cup honey
  6. 1 Tablespoon coconut oil
  7. 1/2 cup rolled oats
  8. Handful of chopped nuts (almonds, pecans, whatever you have on hand)
  9. Desiccated coconut for rolling


Soak the chopped apricots in the zest and juice of the orange for 10 or 15 minutes or so (however long you like really). Combine with the remaining ingredients. Add additional almond meal or coconut if mixture is too wet, or extra honey if too dry. Roll into balls and coat in coconut. Alternatively, you could coat in melted dark chocolate for an apricot chocolate treat.
