The food you will find on beachkitchen is in large part healthy, nourishing and simple. My recipes are based around easy combinations of fresh ingredients.
Living in Bondi I have access to a plentiful supply of organic, fresh fruit and vegetables and healthy grains like quinoa, freekeh and other health foods and drinks like nut milks and pressed juices (recently the local stores ran out of almond milk and there appeared to be panicked people everywhere).
I draw food inspiration from the healthy, local food in the area and the food I enjoyed at home in NZ with family growing up. I like the odd indulgent treat when cooking at home and eating out, so I don’t explicitly exclude any foods from my cooking or diet (especially when I can put eating down to holiday-food-tourism).
I love hearing from people who have tried or just like the look of the recipes on this blog – food can be a nice way to keep in touch.
